UNFAIR ADVANTAGE / TRUST & TRANSPARENCY
A plain-English explanation of how Unfair Advantage earns money and how that relates to our recommendations.
Last updated: November 5, 2026
Unfair Advantage may earn a commission when you sign up for or buy software through some links on this website, at no extra cost to you.
1. What an affiliate link means
Some links to software vendors are affiliate links. If you follow one and sign up, start a paid plan or make another qualifying action, the vendor or its affiliate network may pay us a commission. Commission terms vary by program and are set by each vendor. Affiliate revenue funds our research, writing and the operation of the website.
You buy from the vendor, not from Unfair Advantage. The vendor controls pricing, plans, trials, billing, refunds, support and its terms of service.
2. Editorial independence
A commission never makes a tool the right choice on its own. We evaluate fit for the use case, features, documented limitations, pricing transparency and the quality of available evidence, and we may recommend a tool that pays us nothing or conclude that none fits. Our Editorial Policy explains our method.
If content is sponsored, if a vendor gave us free access or another incentive, or if there is any other material relationship beyond a standard affiliate link, we disclose it clearly and close to the content concerned.
3. Prices and plans
Software prices, plans, trials and features change often. Any price we mention is dated and is not a live offer. Check the vendor's current pricing page before you buy.
